With a beautiful landscape and convenient location, the Misselwood Estate offers the perfect blend of sophisticated yet relaxed wedding vibe to make your Boston wedding memorable. It’s one of the few water front wedding venue within 20 minutes north of Boston in Beverly, Massachusetts. 

The Boston area wedding venue is a one-of-a-kind mansion with well-manicured grounds, courteous and kind staff, and a breathtaking beach view that will capture your heart. Misselwood spans over 4.5 acres and showcases a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean, making it a one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony location. It is large back lawn can comfortably seat 200 people.

Their seasonal tent can be decorated from the ceiling down, starting with strains of lights, sparkling chandeliers, or giant paper lanterns. Main Entrance

Misselwood Wedding Staffing 

Wedding Planners

Leading up to you day the Misselwood staff help you every set of the way include giving you wedding ceremony tips, suggestions on wedding vendors and more much.

Your on-site point of contact at Misselwood will be the Event Manager. At least two hours before the ceremony, your allocated EM will oversee vendor setup and coordination on-site. The EM is responsible for arranging all permitted equipment.

After setup, the event manager's top priority is keeping everything on track until dinner service, when the hired caterer takes over. The Event Manager will see that the rest of your event goes off without a hitch and that your guests have a fantastic time at Misselwood. As soon as the reception ends, the Event Manager will help you pack up the Misselwood Tent for the night. If you have a lot of equipment and decorations to put up for the reception, you may need to hire or bring in help.

Your Own Wedding Host

When you get to Misselwood House, the Wedding Host will meet you there. The Event Manager will need the Wedding Host's help setting up the ceremony location.

The Wedding Host will welcome guests as the ceremony time draws near and show them to their seats throughout the ceremony and at the reception.

Bartenders

Acrylic drinkware and bar services are provided by Misselwood (bartenders). You may expect one bartender for every fifty customers.

There are several hotels on the North Shore of Boston near Misselwood Estate in Beverly. I recommend staying in Salem because they have more hotel options and better nightlife.

The Hotel Salem

Hotel Salem is located in the middle of downtown Salem at 209 Essex St, Salem, MA, and is my favorite hotel option nearby. It's just a 15-minute drive from Misselwood Estate and offers a unique boutique hotel experience. The Hotel Salem has a playful and eclectic style, with bright colors and funky decor throughout the property. The rooms are filled with natural light making it a fun spot for getting ready photos before your wedding. You can park your car in the lot behind the hotel for a small fee.

The Beauport Hotel Gloucester

Located at 55 Commercial St, Gloucester, MA,  The Beauport Hotel Gloucester is another excellent option. It's just a 20-minute drive from Misselwood Estate, and their rooms have great ocean views. Since the hotel was built in 2016, it has been considered one of the best hotels on the North Shore of Boston, MA. Every room is spacious, with plush bedding, high-end amenities, and breathtaking water views. There is ample parking available on-site.

The Merchant

The Merchant sits at 148 Washington St, Salem, MA, and is a historic hotel with modern comforts and amenities. The building dates back to the 1800s and has been beautifully restored. The rooms are cozy and elegant, with antique furnishings.

No matter your hotel, you will have a comfortable and convenient stay just a short drive from Misselwood Estate.

If you have out-of-town guests coming to Misselwood for the weekend. Beverly and the surrounding towns have plenty of fun and exciting activities. Here are just a few options to consider:

The Cabot Theatre

Q. How much does it cost to have a wedding at Misselwood Estate?

Prices range from $8,500 Saturday, $7,000 on Friday / Sunday, and $5,000 on Thursdays. Keep in mind the price goes up if it’s a holiday weekend. A small wedding in the House costs $5,000, and if you want to rent the ceremony location, the cost is $1,200. ​​

Q. Can I give alcohol to my wedding guests as a gift or a favor?

Alcoholic drinks (in cans, bottles, kegs, etc.) are prohibited on the College's property unless provided under a special liquor license. There can't be any alcohol in party favors, prizes, or gifts.

Q. Can I book Misselwood for my wedding rehearsal?

Misselwood is happy to host wedding rehearsals on-site for up to 30 minutes, depending on space. Most wedding rehearsals happen on a weekday the week before the wedding, and you can make a reservation by 4:00 p.m. The client is responsible for setting up the rehearsal time with the wedding coordinator at least 60 days before the wedding.

Q. Is Misselwood a wedding venue all year?

Between the Memorial Day weekend and the middle of October, you can book the Misselwood Tent. All year, small events can be held at the Misselwood House.

Q. Can we bring candles into the tent?

You can use candles, but they must be in a hurricane glass or a glass votive. For final approval, you can talk to your Misselwood wedding coordinator.

Q. Can I bring my own food service?

All clients must choose from the list of caterers that Misselwood has approved. They cannot hire a caterer from outside Misselwood.

Q. Is the Misselwood House part of the rental of the tent facility?

No. But the bride and her bridesmaids can enter the house up to two hours before the wedding ceremony starts.

Q. How late can my wedding start at Misselwood?

On Friday and Saturday nights, all Misselwood weddings must be over by 11 p.m. Sunday weddings must be over by 10 p.m. at the latest. On holiday weekends, Sunday weddings can go on until 11 p.m.

Q. Where does a wedding ceremony outside take place if it rains?

If it rains, the ceremony will be moved inside the Misselwood Tent.

Q. Is there a place for me to get ready for my wedding?

There are places set aside for hair and makeup. Misselwood does have a couple of waterfront rooms where you can get ready.

And then, the sun came out, and it was perfect timing because we could take photos on the cliffs overlooking the ocean during sunset. The reception was wild and lively! Since I started my career as a wedding documentary photographer, I have photographed several weddings at Misselwood Estate. Directions and Maps to Misselwood Estate

Address: 407 Hale Street Beverly, MA 01915

Directions: Go north on Route 128 to Exit 48. (Grapevine Road, Beverly Farms). From the exit ramp, go right. 1.5 miles later, take a right onto Haskell Street (by the cemetery). Go to the end of the road and turn right at the stop sign onto Hale Street, which is Route 127. Take Route 127 for 1.4 miles to get to Endicott.

You can park along the interior of the wall and on the grass.

Walk through the courtyard to get to the house or tent. Enter the house through the front door. To get to the tent, walk through the lush arch in the brick wall.
