You have full creative freedom and the ability to have control of your wedding. This is what many brides and grooms rave about and appreciate. Some don’t touch the space, while others transform it, making it truly a wonderful venue that gives you a unique wedding. You won’t see something like yours on Pinterest.

About The Olio Wedding Venue

The Olio wedding venue was built in a 1912 historic building that was originally the Peabody Theatre. It was one of America’s first concrete structures and stays historically relevant today. The details include Colonial Revival style, ornate decorations, and a vaudeville-style facade. It underwent construction from 2018 to 2019 to make it into a wonderful space that it is known and loved for. It represents its past, while also showcasing the possibility of the future.

Olio weddings are planned by it’s owner, a mother-daughter duo with many years of event planning and business experience. Sarah had an wedding planning company before The Olio, when she realized that clients wanted a unique event venue that could accommodate a variety of styles, functions, and amenities. After her mother Ellen joined in as a partner, they began a journey in searching for an iconic location that can  provide for all sorts of clients.

They searched over 100 locations for the perfect property and didn’t rest until they found the theatre. They named it The Olio because of the fancy curtains that were used for theatres in vaudeville shows. The word “Olio” also means a collection of things, which is fitting due to the versatile nature of the location.

Together, Sarah and Ellen are rockstars in making your day special. From superb communication, check-ins, and creative input, they help you every step of the way. With all these weddings and locations under their belts, they are truly professionals when it comes to designing and planning.
