I create authentic, timeless images that capture the energy and emotion of your day.

Hi, I’m Mark, A Boston Wedding Photographer Specializing in Documentary Coverage

A Bit About Mark Davidson

Boston Wedding Photographer & Filmmaker rooted in photojournalism

I first photographed a wedding while studying commercial photography at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. At the time, I thought I’d be shooting campaigns or editorials—but one weekend, I started second-shooting weddings. What surprised me then still drives me now: no other kind of photography is as rewarding as being able to document a couple and their family, fully immersed in a once-in-a-lifetime day.

Today, I photograph weddings throughout Boston and New England with a style rooted in photojournalism. I work quietly in the background, capturing the full spectrum of your day, from the anticipation of getting ready to the kind of dance floor moments that live on in family lore.

Rather than staging scenes or directing your every move, I let moments unfold naturally, creating a visual story that feels cinematic, grounded, and real.

What You Can Expect

  • A Calm, Unobtrusive Presence
I blend in with your guests so you can stay fully present, not posed.

  • Photos That Feel Like You
Authentic, emotionally rich images with a timeless aesthetic.

  • Hybrid Photo + Video Coverage
One cohesive team. One seamless experience. No need to hire separate vendors.

Couples often tell me they barely noticed I was there—until they saw the gallery. I capture the kinds of images that help you relive the feeling of it all: the joy, the nerves, the laughter, the chaos, the quiet. Every part of it matters.

A Little More About Me

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually out seeing live music—at least a few times a month if I can swing it. I live just north of Boston in Beverly, MA, with my wife, Annie. I love any excuse to get outside, try something delicious, or talk music.
