3 Wedding photo tips for the beach

The beach is one of my favorite places to take some relaxed portraits on a wedding day in New England. Here are 3 helpful tips to consider for your wedding photos on the beach.

1. The beach is a great location for your portraits. However, keep in mind that it is hard to walk on with heels, and is windy and bright. I would recommend we go to an ideal location, create all of our safer images, then we can go to the beach. Because of the wind your hair might be flying around, so we can head back a little early to the reception so everyone can freshen up.

2. Lighting is a huge part of creating beautiful portraits. I would recommend 30 minutes before the sun goes down for the best light possible light. Even if it is only 10 minutes :)

3. Another thing to think about it how the windy beach can get. This means your hair and dress may be flying around. It saves time if we make the beach the last location we visit so that you have few minutes at the end of the portraits to tidy up and loose hairs. It's also a good idea to have some hairspray on on hand.
